4 Spring/Summer Nail Art Trends For 2020

Refreshing your summer look!

4 Spring/Summer Nail Art Trends For 2020 | Goxip

There’s nothing quite like stepping out of the nail salon with a fresh new set of painted nails. See, there’s a lot to be said for the power of a bit of nail art to spark some joy in our lives, which like most pampering sessions can quickly have us feeling like our best selves.

But a nail art habit can get expensive, fast. Which is why we’ve rounded up 4 of our favourite Japanese and Korean nail art inspirations that you can totally DIY yourself at home. With most of these colours already probably laying around in your bedroom, you don’t have to be a nail artist to create these looks by any means. Inspired by Spring/Summer tones, choose between a whole hand of tonal pink neutrals to simple 3D water droplets, or pressed florals, or even a finger of each - no rules apply.

(1)Earthy Tones

Japanese nail art often takes inspiration from earthy tones in all shades of nature; think desert roses, taupes, terracottas, camels, khaki and apricot hues. Unlike bright colours, we love that these nail polish tones can be worn from dawn to dusk, transitioning just as easy as the seasons.

(2) Water Drop Nail Art

We’re totally here for this trending 3D water drop nail art. Big in Japan, this three-dimensional style is designed to look like real water drops on your nails. We're not sure what we love more: the holographic pink hue or the 3D droplets themselves. Regardless, we’re smitten.

(3)Dried Flower Manicure

If you want to add a pop of colour to your nails without fully painting them, look no further than these delicate dried flower blooms. Though this look may seem too complicated to try yourself, it’s actually surprisingly easy! All you’ll need is a toothpick, nail glue and some dried flowers. Since the design is so intricate, don't be discouraged if it takes a few times to nail the pro-made look.

(4)Marble Nail Art

Nude, natural-looking nails can make a statement too - even better when you add a sprinkling of gold foil. Instead of just sticking to a plain neutral shade, opt for this pinky-nude marble set and layer each nail with dots of gold foil for the perfect finishing touch.
