Intimate protection - find the perfect sports bra that fits you best!
Are you looking to buy the right sports bra for you? Check our tips and tricks to pick one!
Ladies, we can all agree that exercising without proper support from a sports bra is very painful and troubling. Whether you’re running, hitting the gym, or playing a ball game, you will have a hard time if no firm support is in place. But don’t worry, we’re here to help. Here’s everything you need to know to choose the perfect sports bra!
（１）Different straps have different functionalities
Yep! Even the straps play a role in terms of protection and functionality! Different sports require different support. Hence, before picking a sports bra, ask yourself what you need it for. For low-intensity training, like yoga and pilates, you should choose a thin strapped sports bra. It’s a comfy and nice-looking option which will give you the support you need.
For medium-intensity training like going to the gym or cycling, you should get a thicker strapped sports bra for better support. Then, if you’re a hardcore runner or play any other high-intensity exercises like basketball or volleyball, go for the X or Y strapped sports bra. It will provide you with the utmost protection and intimacy you need.
（２）How do I know if it “fits” properly?
Now that you know what style you want, it’s time for you to buy one. The bra needs to be tight but not too tight (you still need to be able to breathe in it). We recommend comparing two different sizes and see which one feels right. Try it out! Take notice on the straps. If you’ve found one that feels right, here’s a couple of smart tests for you. Firstly, stretch your arms upwards and see if the sports bra stays in place (if not, you should pick a smaller size since it is not tight enough). Secondly, jumping in place to and/or sway to the left and right. Does the bra stay put? Do you feel supported? If you feel okay with the tests, you’ve found the right sports bra for you!
（３）Can I just buy one sports bra for any occasion?
The final tip is for those who don’t exercise regularly but do different kinds of sport regardless. Don’t think that having one sports bra will work out for everything. If there’s one main takeaway from this article, is that one sports bra does NOT fit all. That’s why we recommend having one sports bra for every type of exercise you do. Try jogging with a thin strapped sports bra, you’ll know what we mean. We have your interest at heart. Have fun exercising, always with the right support and protection!
