The most common problem for single eyelid and inner eyelid girls is that their eyes look small and lifeless. Fret not, single eyelid beauties, everyone deserves any makeup style they so please. So no more digging, no double eyelid surgery, just a little trick with eye shadow to create the illusion of bigger eyes. Here’s how.

1. Apply a base eyeshadow to the lid

Just like you normally would - blend the base eye shadow across your eyelids and sweep it right along the eye socket to create dimension and depth. As a darker shadow will be used for the lower lid area, don’t put heavy eye shadow on your top lid. Keep it light and clean and this will bring your eyes out.

2. use eyeshadow to make a gradient

Contour around your eyes with darker shadow shades, like browns. Carve out your eyes by concentrating shadow on the outer “v” of your eye and then, in short, windshield-wiper motions, to your inner corner to elongate their profile and help them pop. Single-eyelid girls can create a sophisticated sparkly eye look with cool-toned eyeshadow, such as metallic silver, while girls with double eyelids can create a delicate, gentle look using gold eyeshadows, such as copper, bronze, or rose gold.

3. Highlight your waterline

Line your lower lashes with light-colored shadow using a flat shader brush to create softer definition. Brighten up the front half of the eye with a pearlescent shade and sweep your shadow under your lower lash line, from tear duct to outer corner for a wide-eyed innocent look.
