There is an emerging fashion word on Instagram called "Goblincore" that describes the style of dressing like a forest elf. One of the most noticeable celebrities who embody this style is HyunA!

What is the Golincore style?

Known also as "Mushroomcore" and "Mosscore", Golincore grew out of the popular "Cottagecore" style of years past. Cottagecore clothes are primarily pastoral-toned apparel based on the 19th-century country style and more trippy vibes are introduced after growing into Goblincore ensembles. The overall appearance is one of living in a hidden location as if one were a forest leprechaun. A fusion of nature and style, Goblincore embodies the natural style pursuits of the Gen Z generation.

How to Wear Goblincore

One of the main features of Golincore Aesthetic is the emphasis on diversity, breaking gender binary norms, and androgynous styles for both men and women. Goblincore clothing materials are coarse and rough in both touch and design, which celebrates nature’s creations.

The color palette is mostly green and earth tones symbolizing nature, with dreamy pastel tones mixed in, and many mushroom, snail, and frog patterns can be seen. The style staple is flowy fairy skirts and such.

Wear a knitted one-piece or a floral dress to pull off an effortless Goblinecore look. If you want to look more like a real elf, dye your hair a dreamy colour or wear make up to make your face pop.
