Style Notes From Brooklyn Beckham’s New Fiancé Nicola Peltz
Unless you’ve been living under an Instagram rock, you’ve more than likely heard of an update from the Beckham HQ, that the eldest son, Brooklyn is engaged. After a whirlwind romance of close to nine months, Brooklyn Beckham announced his engagement to his American heiress and actress girlfriend, Nicola Peltz. Despite being a match made in celebrity (and genetic) heaven, the engagement came as shock to Brooklyn’s fans.
We would all be lying if we said that we weren’t still pining for a recoupling with his teenage sweetheart Chloe Grace Moretz. But after a period, of what seemed like a string of model girlfriends, the eldest Beckham seems ready to lay down some roots and well, put a ring on it.
And just like with her love life, when it comes to fashion, Nicola Peltz isn’t afraid to take a risk. The 25-year-old star - who's known for her roles in Bates Motel and Transformers: Age of Extinction, is also known for a super stylish closet that oozes Cali-cool vibes.
From bralette tops to all-white ensembles and Gucci bags, here’s an edit of our favourite looks from Nicola Peltz’s wardrobe to steal now. You never know, it might just bag you a Beckham.
（１）Showing off your waist
When looking through Nicola’s Instagram, one thing becomes clear: she is not afraid of wearing a crop top all year round. Proving that a crop top is super easy to pair with anything in your closet, Nicola wears hers with everything from sweat shorts, skirts, skinny jeans, trousers, leggings, and pretty much anything else you could think of. If having your belly out isn’t for you try styling a cropped style with a high waisted midi skirt or tailored trousers for a look that is more comfortable and classic.
（２）The Bra Top
Taking the crop top that one step further, Nicola is also a major fan of the bra top. The ultimate S/S 20 trend, bra tops are both comfortable and cool and lend a sporty edge to any outfit. You can wear a bra top on its own if you're brave like Nicola, but other cool ways to style them is with high-waisted pants, shorts, jeans, or sweats. Consider it the perfect summer trend if you don't have AC.
（3）White is right
Summer is the perfect time to try an all-white outfit. Taking notes from Nicola, the key to pulling off the trend is to play with textures, layering, and volume which will keep your look interesting. Also, don't be afraid of breaking up the look with contrasting accessories from black sandals to gold jewellery. And if an all-white outfit feels a little daunting, break it up with warm buttery neutrals for a tonal palette.
