Pursueing fashion since he was young, Karl Lagerfeld’s illustrious career began at 17 when he became the Pierre Balmain’s assistant. Karl Lagerfeld’s hit eponymous line is a covetable collection of downtown classics, including biker vests, blazers and embellished collars. He also worked with many new ventures including perfume branding, photography, opening a book shop, establishing a publishing company, writing a diet book and also illustrating Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. Today he continues to design for his own eponymous label and stands as Art Director for Chanel.
