4 swimwear trends you need for summer 2020 | Goxip

If you’re like us and find yourself dreaming of the warmer days to come, we’ve got the swimwear intel you need. Of course, like most seasonal trends there are the classics that come back year after year, but we’ve also seen a whole new range of swimwear silhouettes, colours and styles being released for summer 2020.

From the cuts that dominated the runway, to the most flattering silhouettes for any size, we’ve narrowed in on the four major swimwear trends you need in your wardrobe this summer.

High Waist

Retro-inspired high-waisted bikinis are a flattering style that will also keep you feeling confident on the beach. Sucking you in on all the right places, embrace a full 50s vibe with ditsy prints and polka dots, or opt for a sleek athletic vibe choosing colour-blocked styles in classic shapes.

Off the shoulder Bikini

The one-shoulder trend isn't just for going out tops this summer; swimwear is getting the asymmetric treatment too. Choose from classic block-colour designs or showstopping ruffle details - both styles will add a shot of glamour to your holiday wardrobe. Top tip: A one-shoulder swimsuit is great styled with everyday outfits too. Try pairing a one-piece with old Levi shorts or a linen midi skirt for the perfect après-swim look.

Deep V One piece

Deep V one-pieces have been around for a couple of seasons now, and the trend doesn't appear to be going anywhere. This flattering style provides just the right amount of skin without revealing too much and tricks the eye into elongating your silhouette flattering most body shapes.

Tube Top

Tube bikini tops are one of our favourite bikini trends this year. Not only do they promise an even tan, but they’re also one of the most versatile swimwear styles around. Not just for the beach, a bandeau bikini will look great styled underneath vest tops and loose, boyish shirts for a cool layered look. For extra support, choose a shirred or seersucker fabric that will offer plenty of stretch.
