Go Bold WIth These 4 Eye Makeup Looks From The Runway | Goxip

The spread of coronavirus is causing all kind of upheavals and changes and the way we wear our makeup is one of them. Now that wearing a face mask is commonplace outside of the home, this has meant our attention is being shifted to only what’s above eye level. And it’s not just YouTubers and Instagrammers who are making bold, avant-garde eye makeup looks trend. Bold eye makeup styles were first spotted all over the spring/summer runways. Bright, bold and detailed, these are not your average eye looks, but you don’t have to be a professional to achieve them - we dare you to give them a go at home.

1.Pastel Smokey Eyes

Salvatore Ferragamo and Christian Siriano were just two designers who sent models down the runway with brightly coloured eye makeup. From coral orange to unique pastels and Pantone’s 2020 Classic Blue, these makeup looks are all about having fun and playing with colour and texture - just as an artist would.

2.Sequined Eyes

Feeling down? Just put a sequin on it. A popular look copied from band and stage artists, this season, makeup artists used stars and sequins to create exaggerated eyes on the runway. Easy to replicate at home, keep your eye makeup bare (or neutral) and grab a sequin, and simply pop it on. This makeup look proves that less is always more.

3.Exaggerated Eyeliner

Love a cat eye? Great, because they’re officially trending for spring. At Jeremy Scott’s show this season, we saw long graphic liner being used to create a modern cat eye. A popular makeup style in Korea, the key to this look is to focus only on the outer corners of the eye, creating an exaggerated winged shape that leaves the middle of the eye clear.

4.Gold Foil Eyes

Gold foil eyes and metallic makeup was the pinnacle of a 70s bombshell look. And this season Erdem and Simone Rocha recreated the signature disco aesthetic by boldly applying gold foil to the eyelid for three-dimensional glitz. A bold look that is unexpected but not overdone or tacky, this gold foil eye look will lend just the right amount of glamour for a special night out.
