The most talked about series on Netflix lately is Inventing Anna. Based on true-life events, the story uncovers how Anna Sorokin faked the billions of dollars from the German Trust to defraud the entire Manhattan high society.

The protagonist Anna Sorokin went to London to study for a fashion degree at the age of 19. She also worked as an intern in the fashion art magazine "Purple". During her fashion background, she attended many celebrity occasions and attended parties everywhere. Due to her fashionable career, Anna Sorokin is very particular about what she wears and it’s also perhaps the reason why she can successfully deceive everyone around her.

In order to replicate Anna's story as best as possible, Paolo, who styled "Scandal", and Laura Frecon, Stylist of "How to Get Away With Murder", worked extremely hard together on Anna's costumes! They both worked closely with a Fashion Designer from New York and a Boutique Buyer to build each of Anna’s character outfits.

The black Alaïa LBD leather bomber jacket from the show is a must-have, and Anna wears it a lot. The Stylist’s recreated many small details of Anna’s history including a lot of boutique glasses, like the Stella McCartney sunglasses on the yacht, the Gucci glasses worn by Kacy Duke, and many Celine pieces that Anna actually owns.

Clothing is the focal point of Anna's various roles in the Netflix hit and Paolo takes much of his inspiration from Gucci and Valentino fashion. Starting with the clothes, he makes them suitable for the Upper East Side, SoHo or Brooklyn. When you watch the show, you can instantly tell it's real and relatable. She is still pretending to be Miss Qianjin.

Real life replications of Anna’s fashion include scenes from Anna getting drunk in a robe on a tennis court in Morocco to wearing a Valentino cape at a Paris fashion show. Where you see Anna's dressing change from one look to another is where her character is showing she has ulterior motives. In the series, you’ll see everything from gorgeous clothes to sweatshirts and cozy pieces. Paolo does well to express Anna's history.
