The New Netflix Show To Have On Your Radar

There seems to be no stopping Netflix who has started 2021 off with a bang, with a lineup of hit new shows. Most recently added to the roster is the new K-drama True Beauty starring Moon Ga-young.

Having held the No.1 position for weeks on the streaming site, the show has quickly picked up an enthralled and loyal fanbase. In a nutshell, the South Korean TV show which is based on the Line Webtoon of the same name by Yaongyi, centers on a high school girl who, after being bullied and discriminated because of being perceived as ugly, masters the art of makeup and transforms herself into a gorgeous goddess.

Other characters include Lee Su-ho (Cha Eun-woo) and Han Seo-jun (Hwang In-yeop), who embark on an unlikely friendship with Ju-kyung.

Ju-kyung who is played by Moon Ga-young has the exact same figure as the original animated character - no editing needed.

Before filming started of True Beauty fans had hoped that Yaongyi would have played the main character.

The Same Style

Both the actress and comic charecter even dress the same, with Moon Ga-young opting for bodycon dresses and feminine pastel styles just like the fictional Ju-kyung.
