2020 Resale Report: The 5 Dior Bags Worth Investing In

Just recently the second-hand bag platform Rebag released a report on the designer bag brands that retain the most resale value. In addition to the usuals such as Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, two other brands entered the mix: Bottega Veneta and Dior. However, it was Dior who saw the biggest increase, jumping from 43% to 56% in resale value. This is more than likely due to Dior having released some sell-out styles in the past year. If you’re looking to make a Dior purchase (and why wouldn’t you be), below are some of our favourite styles from the brand.

1.Saddle Bag

Carried by everyone from Paris Hilton to Carrie Bradshaw, the distinctly-shaped Saddle bag was the bag to own in the 90s and early aughts. Back by popular demand, Maria Grazia Chiuri reintroduced the Dior Saddle bag on the Fall 2018 runway in newly-imagined iterations like sleek all-black leather, '60s-inspired patchwork, and of course, the logo version that started it all.

3. Dior 30 Montaigne Flap Bag

Released just last year, the 30 Montaigne is named after the house’s flagship address in Paris. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and first spotted on the Dior pre-fall 19 collection, the box bag is inspired by silhouettes from the 1960s and adorned with a shoulder strap and the brand’s signature CD clasp on the front.

Released in 1995, the Lady Dior bag was named after Princess Diana. An enduring style staple, it’s a favourite with fashion influencers and has been reincarnated into a myriad of finishes, boasting an assortment of charms and straps for every kind of style.
